Only a few more days until our first big event! On Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. we will be having a hoedown (fall festival) on front campus at Georgia College. This event is raising money for one of our ten CUREkids we have been given by CURE International.
Humphrey is from Kenya and is 17 years old. Imagine growing up with a leg deformity and not having the funds to fix it. That’s what we’re trying to do through this event. His surgery was about $1,000 and we want you all to help us pay for it.
As important as it is to get donations for his surgery, it is equally important to pray for his recovery and his new journey of life.
It is FREE to get into the event on Wednesday. There will be food, a photo booth, swing dancing, a bounce house, corn hole, a live band and more. Donations are greatly appreciated.
Check out our event on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/222634457897267/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming.
If you can’t make it to the event and still want to give, click on Humphrey’s picture and you can do so on his donation page!!
We can’t wait to see you all on Wednesday!
CURE GC is officially up and running and we are so excited! So here’s the run down of what we do. Georgia College was given 10 kids from different countries, each of them with their own need for a major surgery. But in order to have surgery that requires money, typically they cost about $1,000 each. Our mission is “healing the sick and proclaiming the kingdom of God.”
